The 11th meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action was held in Washington within the framework of the Spring Meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, Caspian Energy Media reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan.
Along with the finance ministers of the Coalition member states, participating in the session were Kristalina Georgiyeva, Managing Director of the IMF, and Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank.
The Azerbaijan Republic which joined the Coalition as an observer in April this year was represented at the meeting by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov and Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev appointed COP29 president.
