Caspian: Technologies for Environment 5th Anniversary International  Environmental Exhibition

The 5th Anniversary «Caspian: Technologies for the Environment» International Exhibition, CTE 2014, will take place from the 19th to 21st November at the Baku Expo Center. This important ecology and environmental protection event for the Caspian region and Caucasus is supported by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the IDEA  (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Association. The organisers of the exhibition are Iteca Caspian and their partners ITE Group PLC. 

The Anniversary Edition of CTE will gather companies from Azerbaijan, United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Sweden and other countries. The National Stand of the Czech Republic will be at CTE for the first time. The majority of local exhibitors will be government bodies, such as the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Temiz Sheher OJSC, the State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, the State Aerogeodesic Enterprise, the Baku Cartographic Factory, the Scientific Production Centre of State Monitoring of the Lands of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Land Surveying Institute of Projects and the State Committee for Standardisation, Metrology and Patent of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

Over 40% of the exhibitors will be making their debut this year, including both local and foreign companies: Eldan Recycling, Eko Engineering 2000, GAUS Elektrik Otomasyon, MRT System International, Salvador, Santes Incinerator, Thrace Group, Waterland and many others. The debut exhibitors will present materials that resist erosion, hydro insulation systems, smoke processing systems, geotextile pipes, geosynthetic bentonite insulation, vacuum pumps, pneumatic jacks, mobile packaging systems for the transportation of powdered materials and liquids, composite coating for asphalt that reduces construction costs and extends the longevity of the material, waste incinerations systems and stainless steel equipment. 

CTE 2014 will demonstrate the latest developments in the effective use of natural resources, systems for the collection and recycling of solid waste and modern developments in alternative energy equipment, attracting attention to issues in environmental protection, solutions for them and many other important subjects. The special feature of the exhibition this year is the increase in the number of foreign exhibitors showcasing technologies for purifying water from acidic mixtures and heavy metals and systems for purifying radioactive waters so that they can be used in agriculture for irrigation and in production processes. SOCAR and other leading international oil companies will also present new water purification, soil cleaning and toxic waste management technologies.
