CE: Which tasks does the company face in 2015?
Calvin L. Wilson: Since November 2000, Caspian Wireline Services LTD, has been providing wireline logging and perforating services to oil production companies in Azerbaijan. CWS is currently providing a wide range of services and supplying its clients with techniques for increasing production and reducing operating costs. The main goal of the company is to provide all necessary services to customers for solving problems they face in more efficient and cost effective manner. As everybody knows according to oil price in 2015 year it will be crisis in oil industry. According to this, the aim of Caspian Wireline Services, LTD is to provide clients with cheaper prices and quality, healthy job. Therefore now CWS has made new mostly prefered contracts for the clients in this year.
CE: Which innovative technologies does the company offer and which innovation has the company introduced recently?
Calvin L. Wilson: We enabled the oil companies operating in Azerbaijan to have continuous access to equipment and methods meeting the international standards in a cost effective manner. In addition to the equipment utilized and a regular basis, CWS have partners available to bring many high technology logging tools into Azerbaijan as required by our clients. CWS continuously strives to work closely with our clients to identify products and services that should be tested and bring those products and services into Azerbaijan in a cost effective manner. CWS is continuously searching services and innovative technologies based on the needs of our clients in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. The fields in clients area of CWS are geologically complex and each field has unique challenges. In an attempt to address the mobility of hydrocarbons, the latest innovative technology currently being tested in Georgia is silicon based chemical, ERA-3,which is so far proving to change the oil wet sands to water wet which releases oil and increases the relative permeability near the wellbore. This chemical is currently being tested and more chemical is being imported to broaden the testing to additional wells and fields.CWS is going to use silicon based chemical ERA-3 in Hovsan, Fatmai, Nerftchala oil field which located in Azerbaijan and we believe that with that chemical we will increase oil product in the wells of the Azerbaijan. CWS is certain that new methods should be evaluated and tested in the fields to identify cost effective solutions required to produce the sizeable reserves available in Azerbaijan.
CE: Are there plans to expand the activity of the company?
Calvin L. Wilson: Our activity is spread on the whole territory of the country where oil companies have active operations. We have been involved in operations in many regions of Azerbaijan such as Hovsan, Mishovdagh, Kalamaddin, Binagadi, Fatmai, Kurovdagh, Kursengi, Karabaghli, Khilli, Neftchala, Gumdeniz, Bahar region and etc. We believe methods of increasing production will be identified in the near future which will encourage more international and local investors will be interested in the oil and gas in Azerbaijan.These investments will help to strengthen the economy of Azerbaijan and open up more opportunities for all companies acting in the energy sector.
