Caspian Energy (CE): Mr. Mitterlehner, was 2014 rather positive for Austria and EU in whole? Do you consider it a landmark event for the EU as a union?

Reinhold Mitterlehner, Federal Minister of Science, Research and Economy of the Republic of Austria: The election of the new European Parliament and the introduction of the new European Commission can be seen as landmark events for the EU in 2014. In terms of Austrian membership in the European Union this year brought - like the 20 years before - a continuous development in terms of economy and research.  Especially our export-oriented companies take full advantage from the benefits of the European Single Market and use it as a hub for exploring new markets.
