Positions of littoral states on determining the status of the Caspian Sea are close enough -

Caspian Energy (CE): Mr. Rahimpour, could you please give your opinion about the results of the negotiation process on the status of the Caspian Sea, which has lasted for over 20 years?

Ebrahim Rahimpour, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Asian and Pacific Affairs, and Special Representative of Iran for the Caspian Sea Affairs:  The entire world is watching our negotiation process, and we hope the Caspian Sea will become a sea of friendship, peace and stability.

The discussions held in the last 20 years have created a favorable atmosphere for a full completion of work on the convention.

We hope that the Caspian Sea can be a good platform for future cooperation.
