Today marks the 75th anniversary of the legendary "Neft Daşları" (Oil Rocks).

"Neft Daşları" is located in the Caspian Sea, 110 km northeast of Baku. On June 24, 1949, drilling of the first exploratory well began at Oil Rocks, which was successfully completed on November 7, initiating the field's development. It was on this date that the first well at Oil Rocks gushed oil.
