A press conference was held on work done in the transport sector in 2024 and projects to be implemented in 2025. At the event, attended by media representatives, experts and industry specialists, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov provided information on the projects implemented last year.
A total of 20,767 kilometres of motorways have been built, reconstructed and repaired across the country, 335 bridges and overpasses, 163 underground and overground pedestrian crossings, 45 tunnels have been constructed. Currently, 44 road projects with a total length of 3,371.1 kilometres are being implemented in the territories liberated from occupation. Forty-five tunnels, 447 bridges and 16 viaducts are under construction. As a result of the work done, record figures and achievements in a number of areas have been achieved in 2024.
