The head of QazaqGaz National Company, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, and the Executive Chairman of the Board of PetroChina International, Wu Junli, have signed an amendment to the three-year natural gas purchase and sale agreement.

“Caspian Energy Media” reports, citing the press service of the Kazakh company.

"This step will allow for an increase in gas exports to China in 2025, reaffirming the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China in the energy sector," the statement said.

The company added that Kazakhstan’s gas industry serves as a reliable supplier of resources to strengthen the region’s energy security.
