The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between First Deputy Minister Obidjon Kudratov and the UN Permanent Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Sabine Mahl, where several issues on strengthening and enhancing bilateral cooperation were discussed.

During the meeting, the Ministry provided information on the large-scale environmental reforms carried out by the Government of the country. In particular, the creation of the Climate Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Asian University of the Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University), the international expo hub of climate technologies in the Aral Sea region, as well as the results achieved within the framework of Uzbekistan's Green Cities Rating project.
