Azerbaijan’s GDP expected to grow

According to key macroeconomic indicators for 2026, Azerbaijan’s gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to reach 134.1 billion manats, representing a real growth of 2.9% compared to 2025.

As reported by AZERTAC, Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev announced this during his speech at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship.

According to the minister, over the past five years, GDP has increased by 36.7 billion manats (39.3%) in nominal terms and by 19% in real terms.

“Non-oil GDP is projected at 101.7 billion manats, reflecting real growth of 5% compared to 2025. Over the past five years, non-oil GDP has risen by 36 billion manats (62.7%) in nominal terms and by 34% in real terms,” the minister added.

The World Bank forecasts Azerbaijan’s economic growth at 1.9% in 2025, 1.8% in 2026, and 1.7% in 2027.

According to projections from the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, GDP growth is expected at 3% in 2025, 2.9% in 2026, and 3.6% in 2027.

Forecasts from international rating agencies vary: S&P Global expects annual growth of 2% in 2025–2026, Fitch Ratings projects 3.5% in 2025 and 2.5% in 2026, and Moody’s anticipates growth of 2.5% per year.
