Bank Respublika, one of the largest commercial banks in the country committed to the principles of social responsibility, has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, Caspian Energy Media reports.
The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest international initiative focusing on corporate sustainability and social responsibility. Over 20,000 organizations from 160 countries, including top international financial institutions, are part of this initiative.
Joining the UN Global Compact demonstrates Bank Respublika's commitment to the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility. Having committed to supporting the 10 principles of the Global Compact, the Bank will continue to improve its program of activities in the field of human rights, ecology, social responsibility, and actively work to implement the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
It should be noted that the Bank is currently actively working on projects aimed at developing green financing, environmental protection, recycling of secondary materials, as well as many other initiatives.
