A Cooperation Agreement signed between Uzbekistan and the International Finance Corporation (IFC)

An important step toward enhancing the investment appeal of Uzbekistan was the signing today of a Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade (MIIT) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.

This landmark agreement aims to enhance the regulatory framework essential for stimulating and developing alternative investments, which are crucial for the growth of the country's innovative economy.

As part of the agreement, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will offer essential technical assistance to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in formulating advanced legislation regarding alternative investments. This project aims to establish even more favorable conditions for investors, thereby enhancing access to finance and creating new business opportunities.

During the constructive meeting, the parties also focused on the progress made in developing a package of key economic laws, including legislation on investments and special economic zones, highlighting their crucial role in enhancing the business environment. “Caspian Energy Media” reports with reference to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.
