BP-Azerbaijan has started drilling a new production well from the Azeri Central East (ACE) platform in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields, said Russell Morris, BP's Vice President for Wells in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye (AGT) region, “Caspian Energy Media” informs.

"Last year, three production wells were drilled from the ACE platform. Currently, drilling of the fourth well has begun, and we plan to complete drilling of the eighth well by the end of this year," Morris stated at the IADC Drilling Caspian 2025 international conference held in Baku.

Morris also noted that BP plans to drill several wells for gas injection at the ACE platform.
