Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, met with Dahir Shire Mohamed, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Somalia.

During the meeting, the parties recalled the recent visit of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to Azerbaijan, emphasizing the role of the documents signed during the visit in establishing fruitful collaborative ties between the two countries and promoting the development of bilateral relations in many areas.

Following the meeting, a “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Oil and Gas Sector between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources of the Federal Republic of Somalia” was signed.
