President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been re-elected as the chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
The decision was made at the party’s 8th regular congress, where Erdoğan’s candidacy was supported by 1,547 out of 1,607 delegates.
During the congress, the new composition of the party’s Central Executive and Decision-Making Board, consisting of 75 members, was also determined. "Caspian Energy Media" with reference to the Anadolu agency.
