On September 16, a meeting was held in Shusha between the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in an expanded format.

According to AZERTAC, a ceremony of exchanging documents signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates then took place with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
