Today, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Atlantic Council will hold a session titled “Meeting on Energy Security in Central and Eastern Europe.”
As part of the Council, EU ministers will meet with U.S. energy officials, including U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright. In July, the EU and the United States signed a trade agreement imposing a 15% tariff on nearly all EU exports to the U.S. Additionally, the European Union plans to purchase $750 billion worth of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
