On March 5 President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Georgian delegation headed by the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is staying in Uzbekistan with an official visit.

The issues of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economic, investment, transportation and logistics, tourism and cultural spheres were considered.

Importance of taking coordinated measures on maintaining the dynamics of trade turnover, ensuring balance between exports and imports, promoting industrial cooperation projects, efficient use of transport and transit potential, as well as active involvement of regions of the two countries in economic cooperation was noted.

Special attention was paid to the expansion of partnership and exchanges in the field of digitalization and development of tourism infrastructure.
