On the sidelines of the Central Asia – EU Summit, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with European Council President António Costa to explore ways to deepen and broaden strategic cooperation.
The European Union is Kazakhstan’s largest trading partner and foreign investor, accounting for over 40% of the country’s total FDI. In 2024, trade between Kazakhstan and EU member states reached almost $50 billion, representing 80% of the EU’s total trade with Central Asian countries.
The meeting focused on discussing prospects for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation across various sectors of the economy.
