The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev visited the State of Qatar for official talks on January 26, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told Trend.
The visit included the 5th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Qatar, “Caspian Energy Media” reports, citing MFA press service.
The talks were led by Yalchin Rafiyev on behalf of Azerbaijan and by Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi.
During the consultations, the two sides discussed bilateral political and economic issues, as well as cooperation within the framework of the United Nations (UN), the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and other international organizations. The discussions also covered regional and global matters of mutual interest, focusing on trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, education, and other sectors of cooperation.
