The President of Kazakhstan holds talks with Italian President

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds talks with Italian President Sergio Mattarella. The Italian President praised the strong bilateral ties between the two nations and highlighted the numerous opportunities for expanding strategic partnership. 

The two leaders discussed prospects for further trade, economic, and investment cooperation. 

President Tokayev underscored that Italy is Kazakhstan’s third-largest global trading partner and ranks among the top five foreign investors in the Kazakh economy. Over the past year, bilateral trade has grown significantly, reaching $20 billion, while approximately 250 Italian companies are successfully operating in Kazakhstan – particularly in the oil and gas, renewable energy, mechanical engineering, and agriculture sectors.
