On April 7, on the sidelines of the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation from the Republic of India, headed by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha (the lower house of Parliament), Om Birla.

Projects are being implemented in the fields of energy, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, IT, and agriculture. During the conversation, the importance of establishing close inter-parliamentary exchanges, active contacts at the level of relevant committees, creating friendship groups and youth platforms, as well as effectively utilizing the potential of the regions of both countries, was emphasized.
