On February 7, the Second Council Meeting of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, with the participation of Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the heads and representatives of relevant institutions of the Foundation's member and observer countries.
Adil Karimli, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, emphasized that the ministry has developed close partnerships with all Turkic cooperation organizations to ensure the preservation and transmission of the cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations. He noted that key measures such as strategic cooperation, innovative projects, joint research, and digital archives play an important role in protecting this heritage. He also mentioned the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Service for Conservation, Development, and Rehabilitation of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in 2024.
At the end of his remarks, Minister Karimli thanked the Kazakh government and the brotherly Turkic republics for their support during the crash of an Azerbaijani airplane in Aktau in December 2023 and wished for the success of the meeting.
