The 13th session of the ICESCO Ministerial Conference on "The Impact of Culture on Socio-Economic Development" began on February 12 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

The opening session included speeches by the Saudi Minister of Culture, the Deputy Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation), the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), and the Director General of ICESCO.

The Biennale showcases rare artifacts of Islamic heritage preserved in collections from nearly 30 countries, including the Vatican.
