In the first five months of 2025, bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $6.35 million. According to Tajikistan’s Customs Service, exports from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan reached $1.59 million, while imports from the neighboring country totaled $4.76 million. By comparison, in January–May 2024, the total trade turnover between the two countries was just $405,100. "Thus, the fifteenfold increase in foreign trade activity between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan stems from the resolution of the Tajik-Kyrgyz border delimitation issue, the opening of two border crossing points, and the intensification of political dialogue.
