OPEC oil production increases

Crude oil production by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) rose by 220,000 barrels per day in June compared to the previous month, reaching 27.023 million barrels per day.

According to OPEC’s Monthly Oil Market Report, the largest increase in production was recorded in Saudi Arabia, while the biggest decline occurred in Iran.

Daily oil production in Saudi Arabia, the group's largest producer, increased by 173,000 barrels to 9,356,000 barrels. In Iran, production declined by 62,000 barrels to 3,241,000 barrels.

Thus, OPEC’s crude oil production in June increased by 220,000 barrels per day compared to the previous month, reaching 27.023 million barrels per day.

Over the same period, total crude oil production by the OPEC+ group—which includes OPEC and several non-OPEC producing countries—increased by 349,000 barrels per day, reaching 41.56 million barrels.

OPEC has maintained its forecast for global oil demand this year. It is expected that global demand will reach 105.13 million barrels per day, which is approximately 1.3 million barrels per day higher than last year. Global oil demand is expected to increase by approximately 1.28 million barrels per day next year, reaching 106.42 million barrels per day.

In 2026, demand growth is forecasted to remain at about 1.20 million barrels per day in non-OECD countries and 80,000 barrels per day in OECD countries.
