From January to June, 12.3649 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported from the country, which is 4.6% more than during the same period last year. The State Customs Committee told AZERTAC that the value of the exported natural gas amounted to USD 4.5416 billion.

For comparison, in January–June 2024, gas exports from Azerbaijan to Europe totaled 6.4 billion cubic meters, as reported by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, on his official X (Twitter) page. The volume of “blue fuel” supplied to Europe from Azerbaijan during this period increased by 12.2%, compared to 5.7 billion cubic meters in January–June 2023.

Overall, Azerbaijani gas exports abroad increased by 6% in the first six months of 2024.
