During her official visit to the Kingdom of Spain, Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova held a meeting with Speaker of the Congress of Deputies Francina Armengol. 

During the discussion, the Speaker of the Congress of Deputies pointed up the satisfactory state of the current relations between Azerbaijan and Spain, expressing confidence that the parliaments would continue to support co-operation between the governments. As was mentioned by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, there are promising prospects for developing co-operation in the field of renewable energy and other areas.

Speaking about economic ties then, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis particularly stressed Azerbaijan’s transport and transit capabilities, underlining that activities within the framework of the Middle Corridor could become a key area of co-operation between Azerbaijan and Spain. “Caspian Energy Media” reports, citing the Milli Majlis.
