According to AZERTAC, citing SOCAR’s report on drilling, production, refining, and export performance for the third quarter of this year, the company produced 1.8 million tonnes of oil and 1.94 billion cubic meters of gas from fields operated independently or as the main shareholder. Overall, 7 million tonnes of crude oil were extracted in Azerbaijan in the third quarter of 2025. Gas production in the country increased by 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 13 billion cubic meters.

During the reporting period, SOCAR’s oil exports to foreign markets totaled 4.1 million tonnes. This figure includes oil produced directly by the company as well as Azerbaijan’s and SOCAR’s shares of profits from oil extracted by international consortia operating in the country. Domestic natural gas exports reached 6.3 billion cubic meters, while domestic consumption totaled 2.4 billion cubic meters, reflecting an 8.7 percent increase in gas exports.

For comparison, in 2024 SOCAR produced 5.8 million tonnes of oil and 3.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Between January and October 2024, SOCAR accounted for 2.5 million tonnes of exported oil and condensate out of a total 19.9 million tonnes produced in Azerbaijan.

In the third quarter of 2025, SOCAR also refined 1.7 million tonnes of oil and 760 million cubic meters of gas. 639,200 tonnes of oil, petrochemical, and gas-chemical products produced at SOCAR’s plants in Azerbaijan were exported to foreign markets. Exports of oil, petrochemical, and gas-chemical products recorded a 2.7 percent increase.

За отчетный период объем экспорта нефти SOCAR на внешние рынки составил 4,1 миллиона тонн. Сюда входят объемы нефти, добытой компанией собственными силами, а также доли прибыли азербайджанского государства и SOCAR от нефти, добытой международными консорциумами, работающими в нашей стране. Объем экспорта природного газа внутри страны составил 6,3 миллиарда кубометров, а объем потребления – 2,4 миллиарда кубометров. Зафиксирован рост экспорта природного газа на 8,7 процента.

Для сравнения в 2024 году SOCAR добыла 5,8 миллиона тонн нефти и 3,4 миллиарда кубометров природного газа. В целом за январь-октябрь 2024 года на долю SOCAR пришлось 2,5 млн тонн экспортированной нефти и конденсата из общего объема в 19,9 млн тонн в Азербайджане

В третьем квартале текущего года SOCAR переработала 1,7 миллиона тонн нефти и 760 миллионов кубометров газа. На внешние рынки было экспортировано 639,2 тысячи тонн нефтяной, нефтехимической и газохимической продукции, произведенной на предприятиях SOCAR в Азербайджане. В экспорте нефтяной, нефтехимической и газохимической продукции зафиксирован рост на 2,7 процента.

According to AZERTAC, the price of Brent crude oil on the ICE (InterContinental Exchange Futures) in London rose by $0.38 to $66.3 per barrel. The price of Light crude oil on the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange) in New York increased by $0.36 to $61.86 per barrel. Azeri Light currently stands at $73.35 per barrel.

The price of natural gas futures for December delivery rose by 0.75%, reaching $4.025 per 1 million BTU (British thermal units). Unlike the European pricing system, this price includes oil production costs but excludes taxes, transportation, and other market components, APA Economics reports.

On Monday, key stock market indices also showed growth. The Dow Jones Industrial Average on the New York Stock Exchange rose by 1.01% to 47,207.12 points, the S&P 500 increased by 0.79% to 6,791.69 points, and the NASDAQ Composite rose by 1.15% to 23,204.87 points. The NYSE Composite Index climbed by 0.34% to 21,698.06 points, while the S&P/TSX Composite Index rose by 0.55% to 30,353.07 points.

Positive trends were also recorded on European markets. The FTSE 100 index grew by 0.70%, DAX by 0.13%, and IBEX 35 by 0.44%. The Euro Stoxx 50 index increased by 0.11%, while the CAC 40 index remained unchanged.

The lowest recorded price for Azeri Light was $15.81 on April 21, 2020, while its historical high of $149.66 was registered in July 2008.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has been paying special attention to the development of its startup and innovation ecosystem, viewing this sector as a key area for economic diversification, enhancing competitiveness, and fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs.

According to AZERTAC, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov made this statement during his speech at the II Meeting of Ministers of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Baku.

“In order to promote joint activities of Turkic-speaking states in the startup sector, implement innovative ideas, and expand access to intra-regional markets, we propose creating a new form of cooperation — the Turkic States Startup and Innovation Cooperation Platform. The Platform will coordinate collaboration in innovation, startups, and the digital economy among member states and serve as a unified mechanism for exchanging knowledge, experience, and technological resources. This initiative will accelerate innovation development in the region and create new opportunities for young entrepreneurs to realize their potential,” the Minister emphasized.

Mikayil Jabbarov also noted that the proposal to establish a Turkic Patent Organization (TPO) was put forward by the Working Group on Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the OTS. “Since intellectual property is the foundation of innovation, science, and industrial development, strengthening mutual cooperation in this area is of strategic importance. At the same time, the initiative to create the Turkic States Metrology Organization (TÜRKMET), proposed during the X OTS Summit held in November 2023 in Astana, is significant for industrial and technological development. The establishment of TÜRKMET is important for deepening regional economic integration and enhancing the research and innovation potential of the region.”

Платформа обеспечит координацию сотрудничества в сфере инноваций, стартапов и цифровой экономики между странами-участницами, а также станет единым механизмом, способствующим обмену знаниями, опытом и технологическими ресурсами. Эта инициатива ускорит инновационное развитие в регионе и создаст новые возможности для реализации потенциала молодых предпринимателей», – подчеркнул министр.

Микаил Джаббаров Предложение о создании Тюркской патентной организации (ТПО) было также выдвинуто рабочей группой по промышленности, науке, технологиям и инновациям Организации тюркских государств (ОТГ): «Учитывая, что интеллектуальная собственность лежит в основе развития инноваций, науки и промышленности, укрепление взаимного сотрудничества в этой сфере имеет стратегическое значение. В то же время, инициатива о создании Организации тюркских государств по метрологии (TÜRKMET), выдвинутая в рамках X Саммита ОТГ, состоявшегося в ноябре 2023 года в г. Астана, имеет важное значение с точки зрения развития промышленности и технологий. In January–September of this year, the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) received 6 billion 183.9 million manats (3 billion 637.5 million US dollars) from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field. This is 21 percent lower than the same period last year.

According to AZERTAC, citing SOFAZ’s Revenue and Expenditure Statement for January–September of the current year, revenue from the Shah Deniz field increased by 12.5 percent (gas and condensate) during the same period, totaling 697 million manats (410 million US dollars).

In January–September 2024, SOFAZ received 4 billion 603.7 million US dollars from oil sales at the ACG field. Compared to the same period last year, revenue from the ACG field decreased by 12 percent over the first nine months of the current year.

За январь-сентябрь текущего года в Государственный нефтяной фонд Азербайджанской Республики (ГНФАР) с месторождения «Азери-Чираг-Гюнешли» (АЧГ) поступило 6 миллиардов 183,9 миллиона манатов (3 миллиарда 637,5 миллиона долларов США). Это на 21 процент меньше, чем за аналогичный период прошлого года.

Как сообщает АЗЕРТАДЖ со ссылкой на отчет ГНФАР о доходах и расходах за январь-сентябрь текущего года, за тот же период доходы от месторождения «Шах Дениз» увеличились на 12,5 процента (газ и конденсат) и составили 697 миллионов манатов (410 миллионов долларов США).

В январе-сентябре 2024 года Государственный нефтяной фонд Азербайджана (ГНФАР) получил доходы в размере 4 млрд 603,7 млн долларов США от продажи нефти с месторождения «АЧГ». По сравнению с показателем аналогичного периода прошлого года доходы за 9 месяцев текущего года сократились на 12%.

In January–September of this year, revenue from asset management of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) decreased by 6.17 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to 5 billion 235.7 million manats.

According to AZERTAC, citing SOFAZ’s Revenue and Expenditure Statement for January–September of the current year, extra-budgetary revenue arising from exchange rate differences totaled 15 billion 66.1 million manats during the reporting period. Over the same period, SOFAZ transferred 10 billion 860.8 million manats to the state budget, an increase of 11.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

During January–September of this year, 34.3 million manats were allocated for the implementation of educational projects, which is 19 percent higher than in the previous year.

For reference, between January and September 2025, SOFAZ sold 4 billion 350.3 million US dollars through auctions conducted by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The increase in SOFAZ’s assets over the first nine months of 2025 was primarily driven by returns from asset management and extra-budgetary revenue.

Regarding financial markets, the relatively stable economic and market environment observed in the third quarter led to a decline in the volatility of government bond yields compared to previous quarters. During the reporting period, the yields of 10-year government bonds in the eurozone and the United Kingdom increased, while in the United States they showed a downward trend. SOFAZ’s revenue from debt instruments also increased, supported by high interest earnings.
