Indonesia was represented at the signing by Trade Minister Budi Santoso. According to EAEU calculations, as a result of the conclusion of this agreement, trade turnover between the signing parties will double within three to five years.
In addition, following the EAEU summit in St. Petersburg, a package of documents was signed, including an action plan for the implementation of the declaration on economic development until 2030 and for the period up to 2045, “The Eurasian Economic Path.”
The Eurasian Economic Union is an international integration economic association operating since January 1, 2015. The members of the union are Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, and Cuba, Moldova, and Uzbekistan hold observer member status.
In 2026, the chairmanship of the EAEU passes from Belarus to Kazakhstan. The next EAEU meeting will take place on May 28–29 in Astana.
